Mackenzie's First Road Trip

Well, we made our first road trip with Mackenzie. Matt had to travel to Northern Missouri, so I decided that we were going to ride along to get out of the house. Mackenzie did great!! She slept most of the way. When we got to Bethany, MO, we stopped at a restaurant to eat lunch. We took this as a good opportunity to let Mackenzie stretch because she had been in the carseat all day. I laid the changing pad from the diaper bag on the table, and she went to town. All Matt could do was laugh, but he did manage to get a few pictures in too.

Such a big yawn for such a little girl!!

Super Bowl Sunday

On Super Bowl Sunday, my aunts and uncles had a party in my grandparent's shed. It was really a lot of fun. Mackenzie got to meet some of her great-aunts and uncles that she hasn't gotten to meet yet.

Here is my Aunt Michelle. She was sick when Mackenzie was born, so she didn't get to make it to the hospital.

Here is my niece Bella. She is loving her new cousin!!

Mackenzie was so tired that she was passed around a lot and it didn't even phase her.

Are you kidding me?!?!?!

I think Mackenzie might be tired of the camera in her face. When I snapped this photo, she was giving me this look like "get that thing out of my face". It was really too cute.

More Visitors

On Saturday night, we had a few visitors. The Momphard family and also Uncle Mike and Aunt Robbyn. Mackenzie did not mind being passed from one person to the next.

Miss Jada holding baby Mackenzie.

Ok...I know it is not nice to make fun of your kids, but check out the Urkel pants!! All of her pants are too big so we have to pull them up really far.

First Bath and Doctor's Visit

So I know that I have been slacking a little bit on the pictures, but my computer has been acting up and it is getting fixed right now.

Mackenzie's umbilical cord fell off when she was 11 days old, so we were finally able to give her her first bath. She screamed, of course, but soon calmed down enough for us to handle her ok. The bath must have worn her out because she was in a deep sleep after that.

On January 26th, Mackenzie and I had doctor's appointments. At two weeks old, she weighed 7 lbs 4 1/2 ozs. She is really growing!! Her looks are changing by the day!!
