A True Mennemeyer

This last Sunday we stopped by my grandma and grandpa's house. My aunts and uncles were there along with some of my cousins. We were having so much fun laughing and talking when all of a sudden we looked at Karli and she had grabbed my aunt's beer mug and was drinking it. It was really very cute because she grabbed the cup one handed and slammed down the mug when she was done. At the age of 14 months, she is already learning she has to have a few to fit in. :-)

Mmmmm......tasty!

Will It Ever Stop!!!!!!!

Well as all of you know, we have just been pounded with rain. I has been such a dreary last few weeks that we are ready for some sunshine. I know we got some today, but we are in for a real treat tomorrow: a rain storm. I hope it decides to hold off because tomorrow night is the Warren County Relay for Life. Last year we got rained out and hopefully we will be able to make it the whole night tomorrow.

My grandpa had a lovely suprise with all the rain we have had: he had a gravel bar in his bean field from the creek!! It was about 20 feet wide and 2 1/2 feet deep. The creek completely blew out the bank

My grandpa had to build the bank back up because of all the rain they keep calling for.

What a busy Saturday!!!

Well I guess you could say that we had a pretty busy Saturday. My godfather got married and so did Matt's cousin Jacob. I attended Steve's wedding and we went to Jacob's reception.

Here is one of the newlyweds, Steve and Arlene Damron. They had their wedding and reception at the KC Hall in Troy. They had the hall decorated into a beach theme...it looked great!!

Here are my cousins and their significant others - Michael and his girlfriend Shelley, Billy and his wife Jessie, and Greg and his girlfriend Andreanna (sorry if I didn't spell it right).

Here is the whole wedding party. On one side is Arlene's kids and on the other is Steve's.

This is the newest addition to Billy and Jessie's family, little baby Riah. She is just so cute and in this picture she is only 5 days old.

The next wedding we went to was Jacob and Stephanie Schneider. They had their reception at the Holy Rosary Activity Center. I loved all the lights!

Here is the happy couple - Mr & Mrs Schneider

Here is Miss Allison. She was a really pretty flowergirl, although she looks really mad in this picture
Here is Jeremy and Mindy's little girl, Tinley. Mindy is due in about a month with their second child, also a girl.

Here is Diane with her neice Madison.

Alex's 1st Communion

Well, we headed West for our nephew, Alex's, 1st Communion. We left on Saturday afternoon and came home on Sunday afternoon. Mike, Robbyn, Jeanne, and Sean rode with Matt and I. We had a blast in the vehicle!! When we first got there we ate at Texas Roadhouse and then we headed over to Matt's sister's house, Anna. After that we headed to our hotel. We then woke up really early to go to 7:30 mass for Alex's 1st Communion. Since their church is so big, all the 1st Communicants got to choose which mass they wanted to make their 1st Communion at. After church, and pictures, we went back to Anna and Steve's for brunch. It was such a nice weekend that we were all able to play outside with all the kids. It really was a fun time. Thanks Anna and Steve! See you in a couple of weeks.

Well Mike and Matt decided that they wanted to play like all the kids, so I had to get a video of it.

Random Pictures

I was looking through some pictures the other day and thought I would share them with you.

This is me and my sisters at my college graduation in April of 2005.

While in Mexico, Matt and I went on an ATV jungle tour. We had so much fun!

Just us hanging out at the beach!!

This is a picture of all of us grand girls. There Becky, Abigail, Ellen, Rachel, Karli, Me and Grace.

Emma LuAnn Carpenter and Brooklyn Kay Kaimann

About a month ago, I went with my Mom and Step-dad to Illinois. While we were there we went and visited my step-sister, Stephanie, and her daughter, Emma.

This is Emma's silly face. I had so much fun playing with her for the little while we were there.

Here are some pictures of Brooklyn. She is Ben and Brandi Kaimann's daughter. Matt and Ben grew up together and Brandi and I have become really good friends. I met Brooklyn and Brandi for dinner one night while we were staying in Troy. She has gotten so big since the last time I saw her.

Bathroom Remodel

Well as most of you know, Matt and I remodeled our bathroom. We had been planning on doing it, but to my suprise I came home from working at the bank and I found Matt with a hammer, tearing out the tile and the drywall. Well, one week later we had a new bathroom. It was a rough week, but the outcome was awesome.

Here is Matt tearing out some drywall.

My Dad came up and helped too. He mostly helped with the plumbing part of all of it.

Here is our new bathtub/shower. Matt and my Dad also hung new drywall.

Here is the new floor; well partially done. Matt has become the jack of all trades with this project. He was a plumber, an electrician, a drywaller, a floor layer, and a trimmer. Most of this stuff he knew how to do, but he really hasn't done any construction for over a year.

Here is the finished project. I did an International tractor theme. I thought it was really cute!! I am just glad we got it done. Hopefully we will be putting it on the market soon!!

Cousin-ly Love

Well over the last few weeks, when it hasn't been raining, I have tried to spend some time with my littlest cousins. My cousin James is 5 and his sister Grace is 4. The youngest one is Miss Karli. She is 13 months old. They are so much fun.

James and Grace were trying to help Karli jump on the trampoline. Karli got scared, so I just decided to snap a photo of the three of them.

Karli just started walking a few weeks ago. I was very suprised when I went to my aunt and uncle's house that she was in the front yard running around.

I would have to say that the cutest part was when Karli was trying to walk back to the house and she just wasn't keeping up. Gracie walked back to her and took her hand and said "I will help you, Karli." It was so sweet. Grace held her hand all the way to the house.
Just chillin' out on the swings. Karli loved it!! She just giggled and giggled. I just love it when babies get the belly giggles.

James was driving around the driveway in his car. In this shot he was doing "doughnuts" as he called them. He was making the screeching noices for his tires and everything!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Hello there!! We just wanted to wish all you mothers a Happy Mother's Day! Hope you got to enjoy your special day!!

Updates!!

I was able to finally get on here and get some pictures posted. I know they are probably out of order and I have more to post, but this is at least a start. Stay tuned!!

Papa turns 70

My grandpa turned 70 on April 10. My mom had a dinner at her house for him. It was really kind of funny because when it came time to eat, my mom gave him oatmeal because he is too old to chew!!
My cousin, Suzanne, came home from the marines for a few days. It was so nice to see her again.

My Great-Grandma got my grandpa a cane for his birthday. She had it painted Allis Chalmers orange because he collects that kind of tractor. She told him the reason she got him a cane was because he is getting old and he needs to start using on (and she is 94!!)!!

Me and my Papa.

Chloe's 1st Communion

Chloe Marie Momphard made her 1st Communion on May 3, 2008. I can't believe it; she has grown up so fast. I remember when she was 2!!

She is absolutely beautiful!!

Nina loves her Aunt Robbyn!!!!!

Caught you eating a cookie Anna!! (FYI this picture was taken by her husband, Steve. We thought it was hilarious!)

Just hanging out!

Cards/Cubs Game

Last Sunday my Dad, Jeanine, Matt and I went to the Cardinal ballgame. It was so cool because we were 5 rows from the field on the 3rd base line!!

This was my dads first ride on the MetroLink. It was kind of funny to watch him.

Fred Bird gave the St Louis University's mascot a birthday present before the start of the game. Guess what it was - A Build-a-Bear Fred Bird.

Albert Pujols up to bat.

Check out how close we were to the field!!
